Faith Forge Labs / New Zealand

Know who can help when something changes.

Support starts with understanding the system and agreeing the kind of help the business needs.

A New Zealand team starts its working day and finds that customers cannot complete a request. An overseas support arrangement is useful only if the team knows who receives that report, when someone is expected to assess it and who can act locally if the problem cannot wait. Those arrangements need to be agreed for the actual business.

Make a handover that someone can use

In this hypothetical case, the client records the affected public address, the action that fails, when it last worked and a sample with private details removed. Its nominated contact identifies the impact: requests cannot be sent, a document cannot be downloaded or an order cannot be completed. A screenshot of the homepage alone would not explain the failed task.

The proposal should name the agreed review window in the relevant local clocks, the reporting route and the client contact who can approve access or a repair. New Zealand and US clock changes must be checked for the actual dates. No fixed time difference or response commitment is implied here.

Know which provider can act

A hosting outage, a suspended merchant account and an application error need different owners. We establish the relevant account holders and escalation routes during a takeover. If the business requires local attendance or continuous emergency cover, that need may call for another provider or a separately arranged support role.

Check recovery against the failed task

A scoped investigation can lead to a focused repair, maintenance plan or replacement proposal. Before a change, agree the recovery material and what a restored service must do. Retest the original customer action and relevant failure case, rather than treating an available homepage as sufficient.
